my charger for my macbook pro is broken?

o, I was wondering, is there somewhere i can buy a new charger, can I go to the apple store? I have a macbook pro, and it's the first edition, I do believe. The charger is at the point where the wires are exposed and it was working, but it's not. Can I but another one at the apple store or no?
