Unlocked iphone working with verizon?
I found an iphone on ebay that says it is unlocked and will work with any network. But it then goes on to say you need a sim card for it, which verizon does not use unless you're using it to go out of the country. If I was to buy an iphone and sim card and take it to verizon to have it activated, will it work in the US?..or do I have to go out of the states to use it?
By the way, has anyone heard any updates about whether or not verizon and apple are making a deal to come up with an iphone for verizon?
PEOPLE WITH AN IPHONE ON THE AT&T NETWORK, do you like the network better than verizon?
And do you know the cheapest plan for an iphone?
The short answer is no, an unlocked Iphone will only work with a GSM provider (AT&T or T-Mobile in the USA)
Verizon uses CDMA communication in United States so it will not work.
There are tons of rumors that the Iphone will be available for Verizon next year, however there is nothing on the FCC wireless phone boards to support than, and as they have to approve every device I would not hold my breath at this time.
